How often do we think of our own agenda & not of God's agenda for us?

Mark 8:34-38
Verse 38 really caught my attention!
38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels.

In This Generation!!!! Oh My!! The Bible was written so very long ago, and the fact that this one verse rings true now in the 21st century!!!!

Sin Is Serious!!

3 Things to the Road of Calvary
1) The Road of Calvary is a Road of Surrender
2) The Calvary Road involves Submission to and Sacrifice for Jesus Christ
3)The Road of Calvary is a Road of Service

Surrender
Galatians 5:19-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 24 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Submission
Ephesians 4: 22-32
24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 26 "In your anger do not sin" Do not let the sun go down whole you are still angry 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Sacrifice
1 Corinthians 6: 19-20
19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Mark 10:45
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
